The Big Piney flows south through the Boston Mountains into Lake Dardanelle on the Arkansas River just east of Clarksville Arkansas.The best and most popular run is from Helton's farm to Long Pool Rec. Area. The Heltons charge a nominal $ 2.00 to secure your vehicle in their pasture at the river's edge.
The river travels through some of Arkansas most beautiful country,bluffs towering hundreds of feet above the river.The scenery alone is worth the trip.The river also offers class I-II+ rapids along the 12 mile, 12 fpm run.
