On February 12, 2000. Kelly Eberhardt, Jack Smith and I scouted the Blue River from hwy 7, 11 miles east of Wapanucka Oklahoma to the WMA campground, a total of 3.5 miles, by boat. We basically knuckle walked the brinks and paddled the pools in between. We probably encountered 40 ledges in the 20 to 80 fpm stretch. These pictures are of a few of the 5 to 6 ft falls. There are 6-6ft falls and many others from 7 to the downstream end of the camp. At present there are tresspass issues above and below this section, so don't try to put in above 7 or take out below the camp(ie:cheadle falls crossing with out asking permission) Unless you're ready to tackle the issue in the courts. The other Blue pages show the drops below these to the takeout at the downstream end of the camp. This river will be great with water. Yes it does run high but the gage is way downstream and if you want to catch it you'll have to watch the precipitation gages as the river gage is a day late and dollar short.
